Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Belmiro Arruda kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Arruda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Arruda in the 10th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Belmiro Arruda scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. Portugal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
