An unexpectedly hard shot by Balazs Lajos in the 5th minute of play forced White Eagles FC's goalkeeper Garry Cobb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garry Cobb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garry Cobb was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Cobb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Takacs Tibor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Takacs Tibor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garry Cobb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garry Cobb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Cobb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garry Cobb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matty Robson got free with Fodor Daniel in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garry Cobb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gez Eyre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gez Eyre made a kick off. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Gez Eyre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Gez Eyre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Garry Cobb in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hungary booed when White Eagles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Clayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes White Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Nial Corbett. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Major Barna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind White Eagles FC's goalkeeper Garry Cobb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeffrey Barratt during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to White Eagles FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jeffrey Barratt hit a great ball. Garry Cobb was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Garry Cobb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Garry Cobb in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. White Eagles FC's Gez Eyre got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garry Cobb made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 92 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garry Cobb having to interfere. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
