Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Ortle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Ortle having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jefferson Terra made the kick off in the second half. When Marian Czekaj fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Conakry FC's protests and gave Marian Czekaj a yellow card for diving instead. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrus Bradley, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 91st play minutes Cyrus Bradley shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Keld Paulsen and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Conakry FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
