Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Jun Feng having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sachs to maneuver through the defense. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gong Jun Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gong Jun Feng. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gong Jun Feng should have stopped the shot. In the 28th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gong Jun Feng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gong Jun Feng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. 44 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Orçun Yalınalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Jun Feng having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Pietreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Wilson Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. A sloppy throw-in by Marciano Cambranes in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Willy Stieler. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 57th minute of play. Gong Jun Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 62nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Frank Sachs sped through FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gong Jun Feng. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Gong Jun Feng in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Jun Feng having to interfere. In the 80th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Jun Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match Germany got a corner. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Arósio in the 94th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Gigel Horhoianu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
