David Barbier was slow to take the kick. During this time France's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Frank Peletier heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Fazıl Hüsnü Erandaç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Cumhur Birges short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Maxime Durand to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Remy Dupuy. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Camille Baume hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Fazıl Hüsnü Erandaç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 57th minute. Fazıl Hüsnü Erandaç made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Camille Baume sent off a good shot on target.
