An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Gregory in the 7th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stamatis Ifantis having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 17th minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Stamatis Ifantis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 任树振 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stamatis Ifantis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Gregory could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stamatis Ifantis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nichifor Juravschi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

ERGOTELIS made a substitution. Sakis Sanidomenos replaced Panagiotis Agapakis. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Stamatis Ifantis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stamatis Ifantis. ERGOTELIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Stathis Tavanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, ERGOTELIS's Stamatis Ifantis got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis in the 75th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stamatis Ifantis made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stamatis Ifantis could save by the left post. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute of the match ERGOTELIS got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sakis Sanidomenos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 86 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stathis Tavanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A hard shot 88 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Stamatis Ifantis managed to make a qualified save. ERGOTELIS's players were relieved. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Stamatis Ifantis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
