Eflani SK's Celalettin Mutlugün quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A hard shot 30 in the game by Mehmet Hakkı Remiz from a close distance when the talented Henrich Slany managed to make a qualified save. Slovakia's players were relieved. In the 31st match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Suchy to maneuver through the defense. Saadettin Başesgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 34th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Eflani SK got a freekick which was hit by İsmail Kayraalp. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. Metod Mlynar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 played minutes Eflani SK got a freekick which was hit by İlkan Bircan. Saadettin Başesgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavol Koleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Metod Mlynar made a kick off. Saadettin Başesgi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 58th minute. If Acácio Kafadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Eflani SK's İsmail Kayraalp got a free kick in the 61st minute. Pavol Koleno kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Hakkı Remiz came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Vít Biskup threw the ball into play from the sideline. Celalettin Mutlugün hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The long shot by Pavol Koleno in the 88th minute really tested Saadettin Başesgi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Metod Mlynar struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Saadettin Başesgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. Metod Mlynar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Saadettin Başesgi made a huge save. If Metod Mlynar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Eflani SK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
