Befruktas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. Siro Casado kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Kaj Gråberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Gråberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaj Gråberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Befruktas FC's Kaj Gråberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 32nd minute of play. Kaj Gråberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. Kaj Gråberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. Kaj Gråberg made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th match minute, Befruktas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Häll to maneuver through the defense. Portugal's attentive Bruno Bastos managed to snatch the ball when Damian Sangrigoli made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. Kaj Gråberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 59th minute of play. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdemar Dalkvist went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Felipe Barreto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 67th playminute. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. After a defensive mix-up in Befruktas FC's zone, Bartolomeu Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaj Gråberg came out of the goal and Bartolomeu Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolomeu Dias in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaj Gråberg saved Befruktas FC from getting behind. The supporters of Portugal booed when Befruktas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Sangrigoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Befruktas FC's goalkeeper Kaj Gråberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. With his leg Kaj Gråberg managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valdemar Dalkvist hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Kaj Gråberg made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Befruktas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
