In the 18th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Édouard Mendy skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Fc. CzApEnCe's Wieslaw Zieba got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fc. CzApEnCe's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc. CzApEnCe's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Édouard Mendy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Édouard Mendy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 64th minute. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Édouard Mendy made a huge save. In the 66th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Édouard Mendy made a huge save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wawrzyniec Trac in the 70th minute of play. In the 70th minute Wawrzyniec Trac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Édouard Mendy to make any attempt to save it. 77 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Édouard Mendy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Meesters to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Édouard Mendy in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Wawrzyniec Trac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Wawrzyniec Trac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes Fc. CzApEnCe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lars Meesters almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fc. CzApEnCe's Édouard Mendy did a great save. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
