Chiang Mai Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertram Svenningsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pinthusorn Kheangraeng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Wisan Hangmui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Chiang Mai Football Club were awarded a corner. Tawat Chaiprakhon went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tawat Chaiprakhon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Denmark's Keld Paulsen did a great save. Pinthusorn Kheangraeng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Chris Nygaard made a precise shot to the right of Paiboon Phatthanasing. Chiang Mai Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Paiboon Phatthanasing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paiboon Phatthanasing was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chiang Mai Football Club's Paiboon Phatthanasing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 31st minute of play. Lars Steen struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Paiboon Phatthanasing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. After 36 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Olav Graversen. In the 43rd minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paiboon Phatthanasing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjaphon Yutisee made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kasidit Pantasen immediately put the ball in play. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paiboon Phatthanasing having to interfere. The supporters of Denmark booed when Chiang Mai Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasidit Pantasen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
53 minutes into the match, Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Paiboon Phatthanasing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. Chiang Mai Football Club's Paiboon Phatthanasing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Chiang Mai Football Club from getting a goal against them. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Paiboon Phatthanasing when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paiboon Phatthanasing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pinthusorn Kheangraeng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 66th minute of play forced Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Paiboon Phatthanasing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paiboon Phatthanasing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikkel Wulff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olav Graversen was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 82 minutes into the match, Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Paiboon Phatthanasing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paiboon Phatthanasing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Steen went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Denmark's Chris Nygaard couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chiang Mai Football Club. 92 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Pinthusorn Kheangraeng came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjaphon Yutisee made in the 96th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Trakarn Pornsaptaveekoon however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wisan Hangmui in the 97th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chiang Mai Football Club throughout the match.
