Hungary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario Central the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rosario Central's Lautaro Martines was substituted for Elias Roldan. With his leg Cristian Lucchetti managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 75 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Lautaro Martines nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Cristian Lucchetti made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Rosario Central's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Takacs Tibor heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Antal Valentin took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cristian Lucchetti to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Lautaro Martines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Lautaro Martines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Rosario Central to leave the ground with a draw.
