Sporting Angola's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaramillo Amundarain in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Wüllbier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sporting Angola's Freddy Sein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play. Jaramillo Amundarains short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaramillo Amundarain in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Freddy Sein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a free kick in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Modesto Primo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Angola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Primo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Angola throughout the match.
