In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bresser III Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Fabinho Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emil Seidler's late challenge caught a Bresser III Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Austria booed when Bresser III Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabinho Monteiro came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Austria's Fabio Schneider. In the last second Fabio Auer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rafael Furlan in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Furlan in the 38th minute of play. Bresser III Futebol Clube's Wiliam Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandro Galishoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Monteiro having to interfere. Fabio Schneider kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rafael Furlan made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bresser III Futebol Clube's zone, Fabio Schneider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Monteiro came out of the goal and Fabio Schneider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Cauan Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Auer. Austria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauan Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 61st minute, Fabio Schneider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabinho Monteiro was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Fabio Schneider capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Schneider really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After 68 played minutes Bresser III Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Almir Catarinense. Marvin Harrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Fabinho Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 77th minute of play forced Bresser III Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Fabinho Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bresser III Futebol Clube's Fabinho Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonhard Maier in the 83rd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Emil Seidler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Galishoff struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Fabinho Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. Sandro Galishoff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Fabinho Monteiro made a huge save. The Austria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Austria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
