The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Gaitano got free with Artemio Tohias in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lázaro Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Baran Ensar came free, but Segundo Laurendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogo Arruda struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Segundo Laurendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Luziense. When Gregorio Loi fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvarado de Mar del Plata's protests and gave Gregorio Loi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Gregorio Loi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Clube Atlético Luziense getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mihăiţă Pantilimon hit a great ball. Artemio Tohias made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Fidel Gaitano sent off a good shot on target. The Alvarado de Mar del Plata players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clube Atlético Luziense were winning 0-1.

Clube Atlético Luziense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvarado de Mar del Plata the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Vicente Recife kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Segundo Laurendi. That made the score 1-3 in the 91 minute of play. Clube Atlético Luziense were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Alvarado de Mar del Plata's much stronger midfield.
