Tedi Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Waselenczuk in the 3rd minute of the match. Godo Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Gosch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Charmander City booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Testa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute Sharma Cavani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charmander City's attentive Mei Xun Ao managed to snatch the ball when Favian Muff made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Goba in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Charmander City's goalkeeper Tedi Papo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakub Waselenczuk. Charmander City's Tedi Papo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Charmander City from getting a goal against them. If Sharma Cavani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tedi Papo was a little too slow when Jakub Waselenczuk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Charmander City's Tedi Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Waselenczuk in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Charmander City's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Waselenczuk came free, but Tedi Papo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Sharma Cavani came free, but Godo Gøl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mei Xun Ao fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charmander City's protests and gave Mei Xun Ao a yellow card for diving instead. Godo Gøl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sharma Cavani's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Charmander City's Sharma Cavani made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godo Gøl was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Favian Muff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48thth minute of the game Sharma Cavani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lugano's Godo Gøl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The audience was convinced that Alfredo Gosch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godo Gøl was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakub Waselenczuk in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tedi Papo saved Charmander City from getting behind. A collision led to Charmander City getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jonathan Donostia hit a great ball. Charmander City's Anier Bertol managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gregor Wirth in the 88 minute of the game. 90 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Yusuf Ziya Cerit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tedi Papo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Sharma Cavani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Godo Gøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charmander City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
