After 7 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boguslaw Madajczyk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Major Barna kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, liverpool team's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Boguslaw Madajczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiktor Bronicki's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiktor Bronicki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hungary booed when liverpool team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boguslaw Madajczyk came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Boguslaw Madajczyk was a little too slow when Antal Valentin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Boguslaw Madajczyk in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Czeszyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, liverpool team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolek Piwowarski to maneuver through the defense. liverpool team's Boguslaw Madajczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save liverpool team from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, liverpool team's Boguslaw Madajczyk got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Nowacki came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boguslaw Madajczyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Boguslaw Madajczyk made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than liverpool team.
