Bogumil Witek hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, TECRÜBE SK's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Ahmet Danış Çiftçi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petre Bâru was slow to take the kick. During this time TECRÜBE SK's players had a chance to rest. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Martin Giuverdea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Szekeres Tamas got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Takacs Tibor. In the 39th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balazs Lajos to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Martin Giuverdea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Despite this Ahmet Danış Çiftçi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute.
