Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's goalie and right to Lars Meesters. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Quintin having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Jairo Lertxun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's Zeledon Quintin didn't even have to move. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Quintin came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Quintin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 53rd minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Hotz in the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Quintin came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Quintin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 69th minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeledon Quintin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's goalkeeper Zeledon Quintin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarl Tholsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A hard shot 74 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Zeledon Quintin managed to make a qualified save. Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's players were relieved. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Quintin having to interfere. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
