Suat Kaya in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilson Amorim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suat Kaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Genk's Vergil Rupov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rain De Hond hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Genk's Wilson Amorim threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vergil Rupov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Alfons Rijniers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Vergil Rupov made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suat Kaya in the 94th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Vergil Rupov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vergil Rupov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Genk fully deserved thier win.
