The supporters of Netherlands booed when A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babacar Amokachi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When David Eikelkamp, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bora Hazer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cumali Neşat in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of play forced A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's goalkeeper Bora Hazer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bora Hazer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Hazer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bora Hazer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bora Hazer was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51stth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, David Eikelkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bora Hazer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Bora Hazer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 58th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Bora Hazer made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bora Hazer. That made the score 2-3 in the 60 minute of play. Bora Hazer made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute Cumali Neşat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lars Meesters came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Meesters couldn't finish the play. Bora Hazer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK from getting a goal against them. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bora Hazer came out and tried to block the shot, but David Eikelkamp slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. 95 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cumali Neşat came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK.
