Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Denmark's Chris Nygaard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Humberto Bixintxo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 3rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Remigio Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Endura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to SOUTH THUNDER getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Arnaldo Theodore hit a great ball. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Desiderio Endura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Endura saved SOUTH THUNDER from getting behind. In the 15thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Luisito Eleder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOUTH THUNDER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Desiderio Endura was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Bjarne Kirkegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Eleder. After 35 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Theis Winther. Desiderio Endura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Bixintxo in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Lars Steen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Steen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Endura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Ihintza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Argi made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Bixintxo in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Teofilio. Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Steen in the 78th minute of play. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Desiderio Endura. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SOUTH THUNDER throughout the match.
