Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Björn Magnusson kicked off to start the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryant Miles came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bryant Miles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Parker English to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 20th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Miles having to interfere. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, Lars Meesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd minute of play. Bryant Miles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 34th minute of the match. Wander Suzanne charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wander Suzanne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wander Suzanne didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Ari Currie. Antoine Hankins hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryant Miles. Bryant Miles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Magnusson in the 51st minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Miles having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryant Miles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Björn Magnusson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Bryant Miles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathijn Doctor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryant Miles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 68th minute. Bryant Miles came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ari Currie in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Björn Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlotte FC made a substitution. Vicente Rafferty replaced Björn Magnusson. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryant Miles having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Bryant Miles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The Charlotte FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
