Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. After having played for 21 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Torelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Katona Janos hit a great ball. Ernesto Giandomenico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Alfredo Torelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes Manfredonia Calcio 1932's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Alfredo Torelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alfredo Torelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 38th minute of play. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Manfredonia Calcio 1932's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Torelli having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alessandro Del Piero got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 52nd minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antal Valentin kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateusz Smolarek in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Manfredonia Calcio 1932 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Frezza to maneuver through the defense. Bakos Endre kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Mateusz Smolarek came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 67th minute of the match Florian Frezza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Florian Frezza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Florian Frezza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Torelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 68th minute. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Dennis Di Federico was substituted for Arturo Borrelli. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Takacs Tibor hit a great ball. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Giandomenico in the 74th minute of the match. Alfredo Torelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Alessandro Del Piero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manfredonia Calcio 1932 and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hungary booed when Manfredonia Calcio 1932 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Del Piero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Jagad Te Vrede was substituted for Ernesto Giandomenico. Alessandro Del Piero hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Antal Valentin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Torelli. The goal made the score 0-4. After a rather tough play, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Mateusz Smolarek got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Manfredonia Calcio 1932 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
