When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Anfilogino Contaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Katona Janos hit a great ball. When József Varsányi fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sakálok's protests and gave József Varsányi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's József Varsányi got a free kick in the 18th minute. Béla Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Anfilogino Contaldi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Torres in the 39th minute of play. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Béla Hudák having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caspar Motter to make the kick off. Béla Hudák made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 55th minute. Caspar Motter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Vörös Henrik hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Máté Asztalos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fodor Daniel. Hungary's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Péter Fitos got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sakálok's Anfilogino Contaldi in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Caspar Motter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakálok's Béla Hudák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Sakálok from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Sakálok's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hungary's Balazs Lajos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Béla Hudák in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 80th minute of play. Ariel Bartoleme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Major Barna's late challenge caught a Sakálok's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Major Barna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute of the match Robert Krall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fodor Daniel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
