Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caspar Motter in the 17th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gustavo Henrique was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sakálok's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Gustavo Henrique got a free kick in the 17th minute. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Béla Hudák having to make a save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Sakálok getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Péter Fitos hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Béla Hudák was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Contaldi in the 38th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bas Tuitert during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes, Sakálok's Máté Asztalos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sakálok reached it. Gustavo Henrique hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caspar Motter made a kick off. Sakálok's Béla Hudák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 50th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Béla Hudák, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 58th minute of play forced Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Béla Hudák breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Béla Hudák didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 64th minute, Sakálok's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Béla Hudák made a huge save. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Contaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sakálok's Carlos Alberto Torres got a free kick in the 74th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Béla Hudák. Sakálok's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Béla Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kees Mooiweer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Anfilogino Contaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 86th minute of play. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sakálok throughout the match.
