A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Janik Vogt hit a great ball. Jacek Mnich might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacek Mnich ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 3rd minute Jacek Mnich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Willy Stieler got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Jacek Mnich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacek Mnich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tymoteusz Tyskie having to make a save. Tymoteusz Tyskie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Wieslaw Komanski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wieslaw Komanski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 25 minutes, Jacek Mnich made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacek Mnich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tymoteusz Tyskie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Frank Sachss short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Tymoteusz Tyskie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Przebendowski in the 41st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Liwocz Brzyska were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tymoteusz Mindykowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tymoteusz Tyskie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Mnich in the 65th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jacek Mnich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute Jacek Mnich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Liwocz Brzyska booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jacek Mnich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute Jacek Mnich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tymoteusz Tyskie having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tymoteusz Tyskie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germany's Frank Sachs was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tymoteusz Tyskie in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Zula Przebendowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jacek Mnich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, Jacek Mnich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacek Mnich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 94 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Mnich came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liwocz Brzyska played a much better game than Germany and deserved their victory. The Germany players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
