Christiano de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Santana during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Santiago Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carlos Santana hit a great ball. Balazs Lajos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Anton Hurezeanu made a huge save. In the 41st minute Lorenzo Santa María shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santiago Futebol Clube's Anton Hurezeanu did a great save. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Hungary's Major Barna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 66 in the game by Cauan Favoretto from a close distance when the talented Fodor Daniel managed to make a qualified save. Hungary's players were relieved. After 67 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Major Barna. Santiago Futebol Clube made a substitution. Francisco Zanette replaced Nico Bueno. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Santa María in the 84th minute of play. Anton Hurezeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Santiago Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Santiago Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Mangas. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Major Barna got a free kick in the 90th minute. There was no doubt that Hungary were the better team. Hungary's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
