A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Marcelo Peio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Holweck during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Urtsua came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Frank Sachs however managed to control. In the 47th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Deunoro to strike the kick off in the second half. Caballeritos del Baile's D.J. Malay quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Chris Mergenthaler, made in the 51st minute of the game. After 53 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Linus Schwerner. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Deunoro came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Jairo Deunoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jairo Deunoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caballeritos del Baile's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Deunoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Raimundo Giraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Deunoro in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Deunoro in the 73rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes, Sebastian Matei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caballeritos del Baile and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card.
