Denmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valer Hăulică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Hăulică in the 12th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when Deportivo Hernando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Hăulică in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Joris Wermans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Diego Isusko with Iker Ieltxu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Theis Winther hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris Wermans in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Hăulică in the 32nd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Nygaard succeeded in the game's 37th minute to get real power on a long shot . Deportivo Hernando's Severo Umbruso hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-2! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Valer Hăulică made the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Hernando's Severo Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 52nd minute of play. Severo Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deportivo Hernando getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Clemente Todor hit a great ball. Deportivo Hernando's Severo Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 56th minute of play. Valer Hăulică kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Umbruso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severo Umbruso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Hăulică, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Orlando Atarratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 minutes, Orlando Atarratze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Hernando and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. 80 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Hăulică came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Iker Ieltxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Hernando's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Ieltxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Kenn Skou was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. Joris Wermans walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 96 minutes into the game, Joris Wermans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Keld Paulsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
