Matthias Lindgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 92nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dexiators's Matthias Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 94th minute of play. Matthias Lindgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Netherlands players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
