Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Henrique Candal made the kick off which started today's match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heigo Luiga in the 4th minute of play. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Candal's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Matos Velhos defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike van Kampen. The Matos Velhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike van Kampen should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Candal in the 12th minute of the match. After 16 minutes of play, Matos Velhos's Heigo Luiga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Candal came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Candal in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Belgium booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Böcklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Matos Velhos's Durval Meira got a free kick in the 31st minute. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Candal in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th minute of the game Tord Böcklund made a throw-in which Lisandro Fagundes played forward. In the 41st minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Matos Velhos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mike van Kampen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Candal in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. 45 minutes into the game, Jiang Qing Lin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matos Velhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Domingos Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Matos Velhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Fagundes to maneuver through the defense. Mike van Kampen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Casper Claes managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Matos Velhos's Henrique Candal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike van Kampen. Mike van Kampen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Matos Velhos's Generoso Silvino was substituted for Lisandro Fagundes. Matos Velhos's Karl Nietlisbach was substituted for Henrique Candal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 82nd minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Lee Beckford recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Casper Claes. Lee Beckford showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Casper Claes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karl Nietlisbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Casper Claes made a huge save. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Beckford, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Casper Claes was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Sabino Vilhena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sabino Vilhena really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3.
