Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítek Bittner in the 5th minute of play. Pardubice Hurricanes's Rodrigo Jorge got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Pardubice Hurricanes getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Radmil Lysák hit a great ball. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Přemek Ouředník having to interfere. With a little luck, Pardubice Hurricanes's Přemek Ouředník got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Molnár in the 23rd minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiří Rychtář in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Jiří Rychtář stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Jiří Rychtář tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Jorge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Sachs hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Pardubice Hurricanes's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Přemek Ouředník reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Germany booed when Pardubice Hurricanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svatomír Krajíček didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítek Bittner in the 75th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Vítek Bittner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Jorge got free with Tommy Kahn in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the game, Malte Schiele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pardubice Hurricanes the free kick. Rodrigo Jorge's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Kahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Horejš in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Tomáš Horejš dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 2-3. The Germany fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pardubice Hurricanes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
