A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mikkel Wulff hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Staffan Söderqwist in the 13th minute of the match. Marcus Hagström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 15th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marcus Hagström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Conny Vesterberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Keld Paulsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Conny Vesterberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. Staffan Söderqwist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Chris Nygaard made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rank 1's Marcus Hagström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 32 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by John Lövkvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Hagström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Chris Nygaard came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. Michael Lundqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Elias Hult. In the 44th minute, Chris Nygaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the game, Lars Steen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rank 1 the free kick. After 46 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Michael Lundqvist. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Chris Nygaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredric Åhman hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marcus Hagström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Åhman charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredric Åhman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fredric Åhman kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Marcus Hagström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denmark's Mikkel Wulff got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredric Åhman to maneuver through the defense. Dick Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Mikkel Wulff got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hagström having to interfere. In the 94th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rank 1.
