MZ Rapid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Nygaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vintilă Luncanu saved MZ Rapid from getting behind. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vintilă Luncanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. 26 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Baldovin came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play MZ Rapid's Aarón Rey was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of MZ Rapid booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Ludvigsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filippos Stathopoulos, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Denmark walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
