Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levan Dost in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Göktuğ Demir made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Cihangir Türkol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 40 in the game by Felipe Barreto from a close distance when the talented Farid Mondragon managed to make a qualified save. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's players were relieved. Felipe Barretos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Farid Mondragon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Farid Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Levan Dost made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Levan Dost managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Levan Dost was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farid Mondragon should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
