Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 24th minute of play. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Ado in the 26th minute. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Rameriz in the 32nd minute of play. Pastor Ado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Errecaborda AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pastor Ado hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmond Verdun. That made the score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Terra in the 62nd minute of the match. Laurens Vandamme was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Belgium! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Errecaborda AFC. Emílio Terra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Casper Claes. 1-1. Belgium's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
