Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mauro Rameriz had several of the Netherlands's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Arnout Reekers as he didn't even see the shot coming. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Terra in the 10th minute. Pastor Ado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Errecaborda AFC's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmond Verdun came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Joe Tate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joe Tate scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Edmond Verdun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emílio Terra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 44th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Errecaborda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 46th minute, Aírton Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joe Tate to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Miguel Savion hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Clemente Silviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Verdun, 2-1. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Tate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Errecaborda AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Errecaborda AFC's goalie and right to Lars Meesters. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Errecaborda AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 72 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emílio Terra who took care of the corner kick. David Eikelkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmond Verdun made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Ado in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Manuel Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got free with Edmond Verdun in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Terra in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
