Hugo Araya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sendoa Najera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute of the match Made in Paraguay got a corner. Zorros del Desierto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iratxo Acosta ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 22nd minute, Sendoa Najera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Made in Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sendoa Najera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Araya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Made in Paraguay's goalkeeper Best Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquito Escalante. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Santa Cruz to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Made in Paraguay's goalkeeper Best Wall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute Concetto Mare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Best Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Made in Paraguay's Sendoa Najera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Araya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Made in Paraguay's Best Wall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Mare in the 65th minute of play. A throw-in in the 77th minute of the game was made by Cuartio Penagos with Sendoa Najera as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Zorros del Desierto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Made in Paraguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
