Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zayvion Ispuzua started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Zayvion Ispuzua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carol Stinga. Romania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zayvion Ispuzua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12thth minute of the game Sanda Cutov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelona de América's Gilmar Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Romania's Sanda Cutov in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona de América's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute Sanda Cutov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sanda Cutov got free with Gilmar Quadros in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Romania booed when Barcelona de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Fermosel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barcelona de América's Jaroslaw Filanowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eugen Ionita in the 21 minute of the game. Zayvion Ispuzua might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carol Stinga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zayvion Ispuzua ran back to his position shaking his head. Carol Stinga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zayvion Ispuzua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zayvion Ispuzua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carol Stinga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Gilmar Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sanda Cutov. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcelona de América's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adam Olaru was slow to take the kick. During this time Romania's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Romania's Cosmin Barbulescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 30th minute Zayvion Ispuzua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carol Stinga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Sanda Cutov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sanda Cutov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilmar Quadros having to make a save. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half Barcelona de América were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Olaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 53rd minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Gilmar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Sanda Cutov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelona de América's Gilmar Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilmar Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sanda Cutov's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Romania's Rasvan Cristescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Félix Torres, made in the 61st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sanda Cutov in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilmar Quadros saved Barcelona de América from getting behind. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barcelona de América's Juan Guerrero was substituted for Eraldo Pittelli. Krišjānis Ābeļnieks who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Carol Stinga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sanda Cutov might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sanda Cutov ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilmar Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Ciumak, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stinga in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Barcelona de América defense, Anton Stinga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilmar Quadros. The Barcelona de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilmar Quadros should have stopped the shot. Jaroslaw Filanowski hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Krišjānis Ābeļnieks got free with Carol Stinga in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Anton Stinga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Stinga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Krišjānis Ābeļnieks took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carol Stinga. Carol Stinga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Anton Stinga scored 2-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilmar Quadros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 98th minute, Rasvan Cristescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
