Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Voican made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 11th minute of play forced A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Cristian Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Cristian Voican in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Cristian Voican made a huge save. Cristian Voican came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vlad Dobrica hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Cristian Voican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Voican prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Trifănucă in the 38th minute of play. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play forced A.C. Milan's goalkeeper Cristian Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, A.C. Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Horațiu to maneuver through the defense. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Voican read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Cristian Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristian Voican quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Voican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes, Ionică Enceanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Milan and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of A.C. Milan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. A.C. Milan's Cristian Voican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 72nd minute of play. Cristian Voican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Voican. A.C. Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Voican didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Voican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes A.C. Milan got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Dobrica. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Voican having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandru Raţiu in the 97th minute. Netherlands walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
