Floresta Negra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Costica Vladimiri scored to the left of an out of position Egun Pais, making the score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Seco came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Bazkoare to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carol Stinga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Adam Olaru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egun Pais. Floresta Negra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Olaru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Jerzy Zjawin came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Floresta Negra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Zjawin couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Andy Cole made the kick off in the second half. Andy Cole blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carol Stinga having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costica Vladimiri in the 56th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Serban in the 71st minute of play. Alex Serban took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egun Pais. Egun Pais dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Cosmin Barbulescu made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rasvan Cristescu immediately put the ball in play. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasvan Cristescu in the 78th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Floresta Negra FC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Amorim. Anton Stinga scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egun Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Lewandowski in the 88th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Negra FC's zone, Rasvan Cristescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egun Pais came out of the goal and Rasvan Cristescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Vaduva came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romania were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Floresta Negra FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sanda Cutov took the corner. Lokon Pøhl hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute Octavian Vaduva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Octavian Vaduva made a precise shot to the right of Egun Pais. Floresta Negra FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Romania fully deserved thier win.
