The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Reyes got free with Flavio Vittori in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Siricio Liotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Parque Europa FC booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deodato Magliozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Froilan Reyes could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Flavio Vittori however easily saved by the left post. Luis Täger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 41st minute of the match. Parque Europa FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Ryynänen in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half.
