Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Pilarczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Borys Traczewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilija Skugor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dawid Matela in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Kazimierz Gdowik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Gdowik, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Patrik Terzic was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Ostdorf. Milosz Pilarczyk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilija Skugor. 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dawid Matela was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Kostelac. Szczepan Polkoski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Kostelac in the 55th minute of the match. Dinko Stankovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Szczepan Polkoski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ostdorf's Waclaw Sikola got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ostdorf's zone, Damir Pongrac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Szczepan Polkoski came out of the goal and Damir Pongrac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes, Radomir Awizo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ostdorf and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Croatia's Edvard Rakek was substituted for Martin Bosak. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ostdorf! Edvard Rakek might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Szczepan Polkoski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvard Rakek ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Edvard Rakek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvard Rakek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ostdorf booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neven Culina didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kazimierz Gdowik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ostdorf's attack was well implemented in the 92nd minute, but when Dawid Matela was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Croatia's Ilija Skugor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Croatia from getting a goal against them. Ostdorf's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
