The audience thought a goal was coming when Porziano Marchitelli got free with Gabriel Porfiro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Porfiro made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Sigfrido Auletta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Porfiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luganeros AFC's Gabriel Porfiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Luganeros AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Italy booed when Luganeros AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Gabriel Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 54th minute of play. Porziano Marchitelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Porfiro having to make a save. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Porfiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Porfiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gabriel Porfiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zaccheo Andolina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zena Busacca charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zena Busacca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Luganeros AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Porfiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabriel Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Belo in the 92nd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
