Marcinho de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Uwe Reimann came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the OLIMPIA SP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Reimann couldn't finish the play. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Inge Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. OLIMPIA SP's Inge Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, OLIMPIA SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Faruk Atılay to maneuver through the defense. Inge Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 25th minute of the match. Marcinho de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Marin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by OLIMPIA SP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that OLIMPIA SP's Inge Marin managed to reach the ball for a save. 40 minutes into the match, Fernando Gomes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Marcinho de Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vörös Henrik hit a great ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho de Toledo in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute OLIMPIA SP were awarded a corner. Uwe Reimann went to the cornerflag to take it. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. OLIMPIA SP were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Uwe Reimann took the corner. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
