In the 3rd minute, Daniel Pimentel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Santiago Toli, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of SABALEPLUS booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Alonzo Urbasa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Urbasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viriato Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Dobromir Huk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dobromir Huk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Hugo Santikurtz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute Adam Penc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Santikurtz, made in the 28th minute of the game. Felipe Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Santiago Toli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Toli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute Alonzo Urbasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SABALEPLUS's Santiago Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 37th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Prates in the 38th minute of the match. SABALEPLUS were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wojciech Zurawski took the corner. Santiago Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Santiago Toli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 55th minute of play forced SABALEPLUS's goalkeeper Santiago Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Hugo Santikurtz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SABALEPLUS's Santiago Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 62nd minute of play. SABALEPLUS made a substitution. Pascual Chago replaced Dobromir Huk. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after SABALEPLUS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Pimentel took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Pimentel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SABALEPLUS's Santiago Toli did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 92nd minute of play forced SABALEPLUS's goalkeeper Santiago Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes in the game, Pascual Chago dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Portugal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
