Olov Vennerberg took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Vennerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Bohumir Kohout. After having played for 9 minutes, Joar Helström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Heren Istarion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joar Helström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Roland Åkerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Vennerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Denis Dostal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Aronsson having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Alan Rezek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 32nd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svatopluk Capek to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Roland Åkerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Vennerberg in the 35th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Alan Rezek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. The supporters of The Heren Istarion booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Dostal didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Åkerberg couldn't finish the play. Dan Hjortberg charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Hjortberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes The Heren Istarion got a freekick which was hit by Dan Hjortberg. The Heren Istarion's Roland Åkerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bohumir Kohout hit a great ball. If Roland Åkerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes, Kurt Lindman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Heren Istarion and the Czech Republic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, The Heren Istarion's Kurt Lindman got a free kick in the 84th minute. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Olov Vennerberg sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the game, The Heren Istarion's Olov Vennerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 96th minute, Olov Vennerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Heren Istarion played a much better game than Czech Republic and deserved their victory. The Czech Republic players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
