An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 9th minute of play forced Tierra del Fuego FC's goalkeeper Natalio Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Lars Meesters took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natalio Heli. Natalio Heli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Tierra del Fuego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Natalio Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tierra del Fuego FC's Natalio Heli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Heli saved Tierra del Fuego FC from getting behind. Natalio Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natalio Heli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Tierra del Fuego FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Francis. After a rather tough play, Tierra del Fuego FC's Ciriaco Fidencio got a free kick in the 31st minute. Tierra del Fuego FC's Celedonio Espiridion quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kees Mooiweer, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Orlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tierra del Fuego FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Dabi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tierra del Fuego FC. In the 37th match minute, Tierra del Fuego FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Dabi to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Heli. Tierra del Fuego FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Tierra del Fuego FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Fidencio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tierra del Fuego FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Baltasar Francis hit a great ball. Natalio Heli made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands made a substitution. Sijmen Clous replaced Wim Wilmes. In the 61st match minute, Tierra del Fuego FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Kimetz to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 63 minutes Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Natalio Heli when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 64th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Tierra del Fuego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Natalio Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sijmen Clous sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
