The referee ignored AIK FOTBOLL's protests and gave Georg Termander a yellow card for diving instead. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th match minute, AIK FOTBOLL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Termander to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Germany booed when AIK FOTBOLL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Termander didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdemar Tomasson to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille got free with Tommy Kahn in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Åke Pil ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Åke Pil came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the AIK FOTBOLL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Pil couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Åke Pil came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 92 minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Pil, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. AIK FOTBOLL's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
