Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kurt Neijsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 6 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Niels Schirring. Jacob Hauvers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jacob Hauvers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Edgard de Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Schirring in the 16th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Hauvers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Hauvers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Koos Masker fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winthont FC's protests and gave Koos Masker a yellow card for diving instead. Koos Masker kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Germany's Frank Sachs couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Winthont FC. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Hof in the 31st minute of play. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacob Hauvers having to make a save. Cobus Wit's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cobus Wit helped the player get up and apologised. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Koekkoek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Koekkoek during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Hauvers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. When Floris Talsma came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Floris Talsma couldn't finish the play. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Bender. After 71 played minutes Albin Holweck rounded Winthont FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After 80 minutes of play, Winthont FC's Roland Koekkoek made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Niels Schirring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Niels Schirring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Benjamin Bender hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Winthont FC's zone, Albin Holweck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Hauvers came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kurt Neijsen fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winthont FC's protests and gave Kurt Neijsen a yellow card for diving instead. Kurt Neijsen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
